Welcome to the first episode of Trip! Trip is one of the newest “so-called” department here in Rowjielogy. Trip will bring you to anywhere that is under the sun - we can go on Road Trip by going to different places, Tech Trip by putting into spotlight some of the products of technology, Food Trip by tasting different foods, Blog Trip by putting into spotlight different blogs, Sound Trip by listening to different genres of music, TV/Movie Trip by watching different programs or movies, and many other else!

ROAD TRIP
“Destination: Boracay”

Rowjielogy is going to Boracay on May 19 to 21, 2007! Yipee! My much awaited vacation! I really want to relax and forget everything first. Well, I hope I can because I have a deadline on the 22nd of the month. Poor me! But anyway, this is a nice way before we finally end the “Summertime 2007″ season.

Rowjielogy got this event covered through the “MoBlog” department, and Rowjielogy’s Mobile PhotoBlog on the said dates. Well, I hope we’ll have a nice and safe trip!

TECH-TRIP
“Jaiku VS. Twitter”

I discovered Twitter through Jhed’s blog. I tried this web application and found it nice. But I got bored with Twitter’s user’s interface. Well, maybe because they are still on the development stage of the application. That’s why I tried to search in Google for an application similar to Twitter. Then I discovered Jaiku. Jaiku’s UI is better compared to Twitter. You can use icons in Jaiku along side with your latest entry. Both have RSS feeds. Both can generate badges for your blog. But what makes the two different?

Twitter has already it’s mobile site, where you can post entries to your twitter using your mobile Phone. Jaiku requires you to download the Jaiku application for your mobile phone - this is only available for Series 60 phones. The Java application for Jaiku is still on the process.

To sum up things, both applications let you post entries. These entries are based on what you are doing the time you posted your entries. You can add friends who have accounts on which ever application you are using, and monitor them because you can also see their entries with yours.

Huwaw! Boracay! Inggit.

taga Aklan ako, but I’ve never ever set my foot on the white sand beaches of that Island. Promise ko kasi, kailangan kompleto kaming pamilya before we buy the tickets.

And oh, i want to use Twitter as well pero I need to update my php, which hindi pa ginagawa ng may-ari ng webhost ko. Huhuhu
